Join Tina for an "Introduction to Quilting". In four half day classes (once a month from February to May), you will learn the basic steps including reading a pattern, measuring and cutting fabric accurately, the importance of sewing with a 1/4" seam, pressing and nesting seams, attaching borders, all the way to sandwiching a quilt, basic machine quilting and cutting, pressing and attaching a binding.

During this series of four half day classes you will be making a small lap or baby quilt from beginning to end.

Not just for beginners, this class can be a great refresher for those who have been away from sewing and are looking to jump back in.

Skill Level: Beginner – You need to be comfortable using a sewing machine but no quilting experience required

Date(s): Tuesday, February 4th and March 4th (9:30 - 12:30) and Thursdays, April 3rd and May 1st (9:30 - 12:30)

Note: Sewing Machine is required and you must know how to use it. A Walking Foot for your machine is also required for the final class.

Cost: $116 plus the cost of supplies

Basic supplies you will need to get started in class clude a rotary cutter, 6"x24" ruler, seam ripper, small scissors for snipping threads. You will be provided with more information of recommended supplies and fabric requirements prior to class. No preclass work is required.
